The Garden - Stoke Hospital

The garden is greatly appreciated by the residents. The lawns, flower beds and garden furniture provide a key amenity and are of a very high standard. For five years, from 2016 to 2019 and 2021, we won gold medals in the Guildford in Bloom competition, winning best in class in 2018. Two Open Garden events have been held in recent years.

A professional gardener cares for the lawns and flower beds, consulting with the residents about the planting. Several residents take a keen interest, and many have chosen to look after a section, taking responsibility for choosing, growing and caring for flowers or vegetables that all can enjoy. Firm brick paths provide safe access to all areas of the gardens.
