How to Apply

In appointing new residents when there is a vacancy, the charity has clear criteria for eligibility. 

Preference is given to women of not less than 55 years of age and of modest financial means who have lived in the borough of Guildford for not less than two years. But applications from men who meet the financial and residential qualifications are also welcome.

If when a vacancy is available there is no suitably qualified applicant, the trustees may appoint anyone who is at least 50 years old and has a connection with the county of Surrey.

The trustees interview all applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and will appoint the person who best meets them and in is greatest need of the place to be offered. 

The monthly maintenance contribution for 2023 is £565.67. This includes the cost of utilities. Residents are also responsible for Council Tax at Band B.
